The American organization Global Justice and Dünya Adalei are participating in the distribution of food aid to the displaced people in the Rukban camp. This effort is being supported by the U.S. Army, which facilitated the transport of this aid in collaboration with the Syrian Emergency Organization.
The aid has arrived at the Al-Tanf base, a few days ago, along with the Global Justice envoy, Mouayad Youssef, arriving from the United States, to provide aid to thousands of displaced people suffering from a siege imposed by Assad’s forces, Russia, and Iran in a remote area deep in the Syrian desert.
Food items such as flour, bulgur, lentils, and oil have been delivered. There are plans underway to provide urgent medical assistance. Each family in the camp receives aid packages consisting of: 6 kg of flour, 700 grams of bulgur, 6 units of lentils (700 grams each), 2 units of chickpeas (700 grams each), 125 grams of yeast, 3 liters of sunflower oil, and 750 grams of salt. In recent days, energy biscuits, children’s diapers, and cleaning supplies have also been distributed.
It should be noted that Global Justice is the only organization besides the Syrian Emergency Organization that has provided aid to the camp. after the visit made by the organization’s president, Dr. Haitham Al-Bazm, to the camp last summer, where he provided medical assistance, and held several meetings with the locals to assess their conditions, and was the first doctor to arrive at the camp since its establishment years ago.
